After reading quite a bit on this issue (and I am still reading alot on the issue), I have found that there are some serious problems with the modern versions. I believe that the King James Version is probably the preserved word of God in English and would recommend the KJV over modern translations. A comparitive look at the KJV alongside of modern versions will reveal that there are several differences between them. These differences range from "minor" omissions or additions to entire verses being gone. Sometimes the modern versions even read the exact opposite as the KJV. The reason behind these differences has alot to do with the manuscripts underlying the translation. I understand that many think this issue to be divisive and should not be brought up at all. The problem with an assertion such as that is that the division is already apparent in the differences between the versions. This issue will only be an issue to those who value the purity of God's written word. To others they may see the issue as a waste of time and that there are more important things to be involved with. This page will contain articles and links to other sites dealing with this issue for those who are interested. Please note that not all of the articles linked on this page have been personally read by me (although I have read through many of them). I may even include links to articles that support modern versions for reference purposes. May the Lord bless you in your studies and lead you into all truth.
